The TL2 Staff Instructor course (IDA / CMAS) is your next step – opening the door to higher-level teaching rights, leadership roles, and deeper professional growth.

Whether you aim to mentor new instructors, refine your own approach, or expand your qualifications, this program offers the structure and flexibility to support your development.

The course and certification take place in Cyprus and can be planned individually – ideal to combine with a diving holiday.

 

TL2 Staff Instructor IDA CMAS – Take Your Dive Instruction to the Next Level

As a TL2 Staff Instructor IDA CMAS, you’re qualified to independently conduct training for both beginner and advanced divers, and to take on mentoring responsibilities for instructor candidates.
This level strengthens your role as a leader, coach, and course director.
Even if you don’t plan to train instructors immediately, the course allows you to reflect on your own teaching, refine your methods, and grow personally and professionally.

TL2 Staff Instructor IDA CMAS – Course structure and content

• TL2 Staff Instructor IDA CMAS – Flexible schedule – in Cyprus, individually planned
• Like the TL1, the TL2 Staff Instructor IDA CMAS certification can be completed individually in Cyprus. You choose your preferred dates – we handle the rest.

TL2 Staff Instructor IDA CMAS – Theory and preparation

• The theoretical part is delivered via e-learning and live online workshops. You can review and deepen the content at your own pace.

Practical content

• The focus is on planning, leadership, course management, and high-level instruction – with real-world relevance and feedback from experienced mentors.

TL2 Staff Instructor IDA CMAS – Entry requirements

• Minimum age: 20
• Valid medical certificate for diving
• Certified TL* instructor (IDA/CMAS or equivalent) for at least 12 months
• First aid and CPR (e.g. SK “Medical Practice”)
• Minimum 250 logged dives
• Participation in “Seamanship” seminar (waived if you hold a boating license or similar certification)
