Wreck Diving in Cyprus – Dive into History, Depth and Discovery
- Wreck Diving Specialty Course
This two-day course teaches you how to safely explore wrecks, assess their structure, and handle emergency situations. It includes theory, land-based exercises, and two open water dives with your instructor. A great step for anyone passionate about wreck exploration and advanced training.
- Zenobia Wreck
The most famous wreck in the Mediterranean, the Zenobia offers massive scale, haunting beauty, and countless dive routes. Discover its sunken cargo trucks, the bridge, and the bustling marine life that now calls it home. With excellent visibility and two full dives, it’s a must-do for wreck lovers.
- Elpida Wreck
A newer wreck off Larnaca, Elpida is an upright patrol ship with easy access and a growing fish population. Ideal for intermediate wreck divers, it offers great structure navigation and optional follow-up dives at nearby sites. It’s part of Cyprus’ artificial reef project, and a great place to build confidence.
- Lambousa II Wreck
Smaller than Elpida or Zenobia but upright and accessible, the Lambousa is perfect for calm, focused dives. It’s a peaceful artificial reef that suits both first-time wreck divers and those perfecting skills. Expect solid structure, good visibility, and rising biodiversity.
- LEF 1 Wreck
The smallest of the four, LEF 1 is ideal for an easy and enjoyable wreck dive. With shallow depth and clear layout, it’s perfect for practicing wreck orientation and spotting marine life. Great as a warm-up or as part of a two-dive wreck day.
The LEF 1 may be one of the smallest wrecks in Cyprus’ artificial reef program, but it offers a surprising amount of structure and detail for certified divers.
Located near the Elpida and Lambousa wrecks, it serves as a perfect add-on dive or compact single dive with a distinct charm of its own.
With easy depth, good visibility, and limited currents, it’s a relaxed setting to work on wreck orientation, buoyancy, or simply enjoy the marine activity.
Your private instructor ensures that even a smaller wreck becomes a full, personalized diving experience.

Though smaller than Zenobia or Elpida, this former cargo ship is ideal for a second wreck dive or a focused single dive with plenty to discover.
It lies upright on a sandy seabed and attracts an increasing number of marine species, turning this once-industrial vessel into a peaceful underwater refuge.
