Parrots in Cyprus – A Surprising Encounter in the Wild
If you had asked us whether Parrots in Cyprus exist in the wild, we would have confidently said:
“Absolutely not. Not here.”
But today changed everything. So we found Parrots in Cyprus!
During a quiet walk, without any special expectations, we suddenly heard unusual bird calls above us. Not doves, not sparrows, not magpies — something sharper, more exotic. We looked up, and there they were: parrots, flying freely through the treetops as if this was the most natural thing in the world.
Parrots in Cyprus – The moment felt surreal.
Cyprus, known for its cats, songbirds and coastal wildlife, suddenly revealed another side of itself. The parrots in Cyprus were clearly wild, relaxed, and perfectly at home. A small flock moved from tree to tree, calling loudly, flashing their colour against the Mediterranean landscape.
It’s one of those experiences that makes you stop, smile and realise that this island still holds surprises — even for us, after so many years of exploring. And yes, we managed to take photos, which we’ll add below.
- Nature here never stops surprising.
- Sometimes it’s in the mountains.
- Sometimes by the sea.
- And sometimes… in the trees above your head.
Today’s discovery — parrots in Cyprus — was a reminder to stay curious.
