As an official IDA/CMAS Instructor College, Sancytours provides private, exclusive and individually planned training. Moreover, your preparation follows your current qualifications, experience and professional goals.

Your individual training takes place even when only one person books. However, practical sessions may be rescheduled if weather or sea conditions make diving unsafe.

IDA CMAS Instructor Training – Understanding IDA, CMAS and RSTC

IDA – International Diving Association

IDA is a diving training organisation based in Germany. It provides education for beginners, experienced divers and diving instructors through an international network.
Moreover, IDA is a member of CMAS Germany and RSTC Europe. Its training framework combines defined course requirements with practical skills and theoretical knowledge. This gives candidates a structured path from recreational diving towards professional qualifications.

 

CMAS Instructor Training Standards

CMAS stands for Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques, known in English as the World Underwater Federation. Founded in Monaco in 1959, it is an international organisation with European roots and headquarters in Rome.
Its activities include diving education, underwater sports and science. Within its training system, defined standards describe the knowledge and practical abilities required at each level. Therefore, our CMAS instructor training focuses on developing the competence needed to teach and assess divers.

 

RSTC – Shared Minimum Training Standards

RSTC means Recreational Scuba Training Council. Regional councils bring together diving training organisations. Meanwhile, the World Recreational Scuba Training Council, or WRSTC, coordinates cooperation between its member councils.
One of its central aims is to develop internationally consistent minimum training standards. These cover course content and required abilities, helping participating organisations work towards a shared educational foundation.

What This Means for Your Qualification

IDA offers internationally recognised qualifications. However, acceptance for a particular dive, further course or teaching position also depends on your certification level and the operator’s requirements.
