Skouriotissa – Mining Landscape & Green Waters

Our Cyprus Nature Tour begins at Skouriotissa, one of the most impressive mining landscapes in Cyprus. From our viewpoint, you can look directly into the vast mining area.

Terraced rock formations and striking mineral colors dominate the scenery. In addition, the remarkable green waters inside the mining area create an almost surreal contrast. Here, raw industrial scenery and nature come together in a fascinating way.

Agios Nikolaos – A Forgotten Village in the Buffer Zone

Next, we head towards Agios Nikolaos, an abandoned village located within the UN Buffer Zone.

Empty houses, silence and nature slowly reclaiming the surroundings create a unique atmosphere. However, access to this sensitive area depends on the conditions and restrictions on the day of the tour. Therefore, a visit cannot be guaranteed.

Across the Green Line to Northern Cyprus

Afterwards, our journey takes us across the Green Line into Northern Cyprus.

From here, we continue towards Lefke. This region is closely connected to the former copper mining industry of Cyprus. Today, fascinating remains of this industrial past can still be discovered along the coast.

Lefke – Yellow Mining Trains & Forgotten Industry

One of the highlights of our Cyprus Nature Tour awaits near Lefke. Here, the unmistakable yellow mining locomotives and their ore wagons stand directly beside the Mediterranean.

You can also discover old railway remains and forgotten industrial structures. Together, they offer a fascinating glimpse into another era.

For photographers, the combination is especially impressive: yellow railway equipment, weathered industrial remains and the blue Mediterranean create extraordinary scenes.

Old Loading Facilities by the Mediterranean

Next, we continue directly to the coast and the remains of the old mining loading facilities.

Standing right beside the Mediterranean, this Lost Place creates a striking contrast between industrial history and coastal scenery. Rusting structures and old remains still hint at the site’s former purpose.

The Forgotten Tugboat

Finally, another unusual sight awaits along the coast: an old tugboat resting as a shipwreck by the sea.

• We will pick you up to your Cyprus Nature and Sightseeing Tour at your hotel or arrange a meeting point with you about 8:30. We will then take you on a tour to your private Sightseeing Tour without the stress, hectic pace and time pressure of other guests.
• Our Tour with you is very personal, because this event is only for you and your family, partner or friends that you book in. Don’t worry, we won’t tell you any novels about the history, we’ll just give you some information and give you time to take in the impressions and / or take photos.
• Please choose comfortable shoes and clothing that are suitable for untouched nature on your Tour.
• Please bring your Passports with you
• All in all, the tour lasts between 5 and 5,5 hours.

We will be happy to pick you up from your hotel free of charge if you are staying in the Agia Napa – Protaras – Paralimni region, in Nicosia or in Larnaca Destrict
(e.g. Oroklini – Pyla – Livadia – Larnaca City). Pick up is also possible for more distant routes, but we will then charge a small surcharge.
